This 34" X 14" wall hanging is a rare example of my applique skills. The pattern comes from the book Quilting with Japanese Fabrics by Kitty Pippen, and the fabric comes from Japan. When we visited Japan in 2006, I bought several pieces of silk and cotton, and I've used them when making purses and other craft projects, like this. I hand-quilted this piece, and it won a blue ribbon at the Spokane Interstate Fair in 2008.
