Here's a real masterpiece! I can say that because I didn't piece it!
This quilt was pieced and appliqued by Mary Wilson of Old Monroe, Missouri, who does exquisite handwork. I was privileged to hand-quilt it for her, using a wooden lap hoop, over a period of several months in
2003 and 2004 (more than 300 hours!). I don't know the exact dimensions of the quilt, but I believe it's queen-size at least. My husband and another man are standing on chairs and holding it as high as possible.
(This photo shows the quilt finished except for the binding. Mary wanted to do that herself, so I sent it back to her like this.)
