This quilt, titled “Star Within a Star” was presented to Hiroshi and Michiko Takaoka at a retirement ceremony at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute in Spokane, Washington on September 15, 2006. Hiroshi is the retiring Executive Vice President and Michiko is the retiring Director of the Japanese Cultural Center.
The quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted..
